1. Current Designs FORP 904 Interface

Simple, yet powerful fiber optic interface for USB use. Bus-powered, supporting up to 4-button response pads, and including both optical and TTL trigger inputs
Great low cost solution for many applications

DESCRIPTION

The opto-electronic interface receives optical signals from the handheld devices in the MR suite, and converts them into electronic signals for the computer. The FIU-904 is a recent low-cost addittion to our product line and offers a lot of power that's easy to use in a small package. The 904 is a USB-only device: it provides standard HID compatibility so it will work with any program.

FEATURES

» Auto-gain adapts to changing configurations and devices
» Supports HHSC devices with up to 4 buttons
» Optical triggering - no need to have your own optical-TTL converter
» Faster - for better timing, improved responsiveness
» Internal programs (firmware) are locally upgradeable through the USB connection
» Aluminum enclosure 3 x 2.75 x 1 in. (7.4 x 6.5 x 2.4 cm)

USER INTERFACE

When this device is plugged in, it does its job: There's no need to configure anything.
Button states and triggers are indicated with LEDs (for up to 4 buttons).

OUTPUTS

The 904 has a single, full speed USB output.

INPUTS

» An 8-way optical port connects with any HHSC button box having up to 4 buttons.
» Both optical and TTL triggers can be connected, so there's no need to have a separate optical-to-TTL trigger converter box.

RESPONSE DEVICE COMPATIBILITY

Supports our latest ("HHSC-") response devices having up to 4 buttons. Does not support legacy ("HH-") devices or pointing devices.
This device is not for use inside the magnet room: it contains metal and electronic components.

WHAT ELSE IS NEEDED

This device is normally used with an optical response device and a fiber bundle.

2. Current Designs FORP 905 Interface

Simple, yet powerful fiber optic interface for USB use. Bus-powered, supporting 5-button response pads, and including both optical and TTL trigger inputs
Great low cost solution for many applications.

DESCRIPTION

The opto-electronic interface receives optical signals from the handheld devices in the MR suite, and converts them into electronic signals for the computer. The FIU-905 is a low-cost way to have 5-button responses in an easy-to-use small package. The 905 is a USB-only device: it provides standard HID compatibility so it will work with any program.

FEATURES

» Auto-gain adapts to changing configurations and devices
» Supports HHSC devices with 5 buttons
» Optical triggering - no need to have your own optical-TTL converter
» Faster - for better timing, improved responsiveness
» Internal programs (firmware) are locally upgradeable through the USB connection
» Aluminum enclosure 3 x 2.75 x 1 in. (7.4 x 6.5 x 2.4 cm)

3. Current Designs FORP 932 Interface

Versatile 32-channel electronic interface and power supply for use with all fiber optic pointing devices and response boxes. Based on 15 years of experience and includes many advanced features.

DESCRIPTION

The opto-electronic interface receives optical signals from the handheld devices in the MR suite, and converts them into electronic signals for the computer. This is our top of the line model. In keeping with our earlier interface units, the 932 is standards-based: the outputs are not designed to be used with a specific program or hardware platform but are instead designed to work with everything. This interface provides complete USB, Serial and Parallel outputs.

POWER SUPPLY AND CABLES

The power supply is CE marked and includes an international plug set for the US/Japan, EU, UK and Australia. If you expect to use a TTL signal for triggering, you may want the BNC-to-SMB cable. Trigger and other computer cables are available at the Accessories Page.

NEW FEATURES

» Bright display for configuration - simplifies setup
» Automatic handheld device identification - speeds up setup
» Optical triggering - no need to have an optical-TTL converter
» Faster everything - better timing, improved responsiveness
» 32 channels with automatic gain adjustment and response device identification
» Internal programs (firmware) are locally upgradeable through the USB connection
» Aluminum enclosure 7 x 5.5 x 1 in. (17.8 x 14 x 2.5 cm)

USER INTERFACE

» A bright OLED display guides the user through available mode choices
» Selections are retained and become active again on subsequent power-ups
» Button states and triggers are indicated with LEDs (for up to 10 buttons)

OUTPUTS

» The primary output for most users is the full speed USB output which simplifies interfacing to any hardware or program
